Professional Sports Personality of the Year Award

Kingston Communications (Karoo) is proud to sponsor the Professional Sports Personality of the Year category at this year's Hull and East Yorkshire Sporting Heroes and Champions Awards and firmly believe that this is an initiative which will foster a real sense of community spirit.

These awards stand out because they engage with people at the very heart of the community, who are doing positive things to improve sports, health and wellbeing in our local area. We would like to encourage as many people as possible to get involved and enter the awards and look forward to celebrating sport in the region.

Princes Quay is delighted to be involved with the awards, particularly because this will see us supporting amateur sporting clubs. These are the teams that often go unnoticed yet they turn up week in, week out and show such dedication to the sports they play. We wish all of the entrants the best of luck.

The reason NHS Hull were keen to sponsor the 'Amateur Coach of The Year Award' was to show our support for Hull's many amateur/voluntary coaches who enable young people in our local communities to participate in sport and physical activity. We feel that as a result of the time and effort of the amateur/voluntary coaches many more young people in the city have the opportunity to play sport, get fitter, learn new skills, meet other young people and have fun, all of which we feel has a positive impact towards their health.

We do and always have believed that local events such as this are extremely important within the local community. The awards are a fantastic vehicle to highlight outstanding ability and commitment in sport and with local sports people and businesses getting behind the awards the event should be a fantastic celebration of local sport within our region
