The Smile Foundation exists to positively change the lives of people within Hull & East Yorkshire, by providing support and grants to local organisations in need of a little extra help.
Working with the Hull & East Yorkshire Sporting Heroes and Champions Awards the Smile Foundation has established a new initiative dedicated specifically to supporting local sport initiatives.
All proceeds from the awards will be donated to the Smile Foundation to be put back into local amateur sport.
In 2009 over £5,000 was raised and is currently being distributed to worthy causes. Further details of how the money was invested will be available on the website later in the year.
In 2010 we aim to raise even more money and have lots of ideas and plans for fundraising initiatives that everyone can take part in. We would love to hear from local sports clubs, associations or businesses who would like to support us in our fundraising efforts.
Whilst financial donations are vital to enable us to run the awards we would also benefit from other donated services and items for raffles etc. If you have an idea you would like discuss please call the Smile Foundation on 01482 333999 or email andy.barber@kcfm.co.uk
