Hull Wyke ARLFC ensure volunteers are CRB checked
Hull Wyke ARLFC ensure new volunteers are in compliance with current child welfare regulations.
Following on from their Clubmark Gold award last month, Hull Wyke ARLFC held a CRB evening in conjunction with the RFL in order to ensure their new influx of volunteers were in compliance with current child welfare regulations.
Suzanne Jackson hardworking CWO for Hull Wyke said, "In preparation for the 2010 mini-mod season, and to support the coaching staff of our 100 mini-mod players and 25 Cubs, we are keen to ensure that everyone involved with the youngsters has been CRB checked. The RFL, (David Raybould in particular) have been really supportive throughout the whole process however, we have more volunteers who couldn't make it on the night therefore another session will take place soon.
We also have many of our volunteers booked to attend the "Safeguarding and Protecting Children" course in the New Year, again, an important part of our child welfare compliance. In addition to the safeguarding course, we will also be delivering an "in house" Touch Line Marshall course in the New Year to ensure we have additional match-day cover throughout the mini-mod and winter league teams.
Our aim is to have all our volunteers educated on safeguarding issues in order to ensure our Club remains a safe, effective and child friendly environment.
As a Club we fully support and endorse the Child Welfare initiatives, and believe they enhance the Club's constitution and future success."
