About the awards
As local businesses both First Hull Trains and KCFM 99.8 are committed to delivering an outstanding service to the people of Hull and East Yorkshire. To thank you for your support we launched the Hull & East Yorkshire's Sporting Heroes and Champions Awards in 2009.
The awards recognised the commitment, passion and dedication of local men, women and children who take part in local sport and in doing so make a positive impact on the local community.
The 2009 awards were a tremendous success, with people from a wide range of sports clubs and societies contributing to the make the event one of the highlights of the local sporting calendar and the 2010 awards are set to be even bigger and better than last year.
The award categories and details of how you can nominate will be added to the website in early summer.
The Hull & East Yorkshire's Sporting Heroes and Champions Awards are not for profit with all funds raised from the awards being put back into local sporting initiatives in partnership with the Smile Foundation.
To find out more about how the money raised last year was spent, check out the Smile Foundation page.
